What is Kybella?
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin”. It is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.
What to Expect With Kybella
The area under and around your chin will be examined to determine if KYBELLA is right for you. Your specialist will ask some questions about your medical history.
You’ll discuss your aesthetic goals with your specialist and receive a tailored treatment plan. Expect between 2 and 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart.
At each session, you’ll receive multiple small injections under your chin. The most common side effects include swelling, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area.Return for all subsequent treatments to help achieve your goals.
Who Should Not Receive Kybella?
Do not receive KYBELLA® if you have an infection in the treatment area.
